The Everest region is the most popular destination for trekking, mountaineering, peak climbing, mountain flights and expedition. It became famous just after the legendary Tenzing Norge Sherpa and New Zealander sir Edmund Hillary’s first successful attempt on Everest in 1953. Since then, 1000 of travelers are following their steps into the deep Himalayas every year. Everest trekking is also call Khumbu trekking, it has several routes to get trekking into those deep Himalayas, Khumbu means upper Himalayan region and Solu means lower hilly region both it is call together Solukhumbu ( district). Khumbu area is highly covered by inhabitants of Sherpas, who were also come from across the Himalaya during transhimalyan trading in former time. The friendly and culturally enriched Sherpas are well known as famous mountaineer in the world; still this area is dominated as the land of mountaineer. Khumbu is popular destination not only because of sherpa’s homeland also it has several proximities of the high mountains such as the tallest mount Everest (8848 m), Mt.Lhotse, Cho oyu, Pumori, Thamserku, Nuptse, chola tse, Tawatse, Lobuche, Gyachungkhang, island peak and the most beautiful mountain Amadablam.

Before mountaineering and tourism venture, life style in this valley was harder, so they used to do animal husbandry, transhimalayan trade and agriculture. Everest region is protected by Sagarmatha national park since 1976 and it is also enlisted in the UNESCO natural world heritage site. This park is nestling for numerous endanger animals, birds including of mountain man called Yeti. Besides the nature you also have a chance to explore very beautiful Monasteries, stupas, chortens, Sherpa villages, manewall etc. Their culture and tradition is very similar to Tibetan, language diversion have been a bid changed due to the long gape, different geological bar and speaking habitual.

This market is a weekly market on Saturday, so if you are on right time you may have a chance to explore. Above the Namche bazzar a well known Khumjung village is situated where Hillary high school is running. The main trail is always occupied by several tourist, thousands of porters, local people, yakes and Jopkeys which prove it the exodus venture destination.

Among the whole Nepal trekking destination, this route is consider as the most facilitated because everywhere we can find the good lodges with good facilities. Also they have good school, hospital and health-post all these things came to be true because of Sir Edmund Hillary, Who’s big donation is still running to up lift the lives of back-warded Sherpa’s life and community thus he is worshiped as a pioneer God Father of Khumbu region.
