Thame trekking is also on the foothill of Everest trekking, it follows the same trail up to Namche and Khumjung like Everest trekking. This trek provides more culture and natural satisfaction within your short holidays. Also it is designed for old people, children or for those who have never done an adventure tour or who have very short holidays but want to have a look the worlds dominant mountain from close.
Thame trekking starts from the base of Sherpa village Lukla, from the beginning you will see well painted Manewall/ stone, stupas and Monastery. During your short holidays you visit almost all the Sherpa dominant villages. The ancestors of Sherpas were also Tibetan and came from Tibet, thus most of their way life, culture, tradition and religion is very similar. You will have a chance to explore this entire ethnic heritage within a short timeframe. The maximum elevation would be 5320m for day excursion from Thame village; this might be a single place from where the whole Mahalangur ranges can be observed.
Day 01:Arrival in Kathmandu international airport greeting with flower garland and transfer to Hotel and evening trip briefing with Welcome dinner.
Day 02: After your breakfast transfer to the domestic airport, and fly to Lukla (2800m)
Day 03:Trek to Namche Bazaar (344om).
Day 04:Rest day or excursion day:
Day 05:Trek to Thame (3820m).
Day 06:excursion day
Day 07:Trek to Monjo, after short visiting to Thame monastery and village trekking heads down to the same way back from where you were hiked up.
Day 08:Trek to Lukla (2800m.)
Day 09:Fly back to Kathmandu.
Day 10:Departure to home

Day 02 After your breakfast transfer to the domestic airport, and fly to Lukla (2800m) about 30 minutes with enjoying whole mountain views on north side Annapurna to Everest range. Your trekking supporting staffs are waiting you in Lukla, they will come to collect you at the airport counter and take you to the lodge for some drink break and introduction. Then the trek starts with your whole crew to Phakding (2640m) overnight.
Day 03Trek to Namche Bazaar (344om). The trail crosses and re-crosses the Dudhkoshi through the villages of Benkyar, monjo, and Jorshalle then climbs steeply 600m to the Namche bazzar.
Day 04Rest day or excursion day: It is consider an ideal day for altitude acclimatization in this place, after the breakfast just get higher around the museum, the Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Tawache, Nuptse, Amadablam, Thamserku, Kusumkangaru, Kwonge peak and Thame peak are awaiting to your warm greet. It would be the best morning ever in your travel time then follow the steep climb over to the world’s highest airstrip airport Syangboche. Turn to right across the Everest view hotel to Khumjung village for day excursion, visit the monastery which is steel preserving a yeti’s head then get back down to Namche by aside the Khumjung school or if you want to go to Khunde village you can continue climbing and take then take a way directly down from Khunde.
Day 05Trek to Thame (3820m). 5 and ½ hours walk. It is easy way flat from Namche to the way to Tibet route. Thamu village is better for lunch break however there are so many places for stopping. You will cross and see village where they grow potatoes, In the name of crops only potatoes is possible in this valley, the Himalayan animals yaks are highly petting in this area also you will see some wild creatures like mountain Tahr, Danphe pheasant and so on. On the way we will be approached with Tibetan vendors, who often bring the things to sell in Namche bazzar across the Nara La. Thame is a nice place for habitants on the lap of hilly mountains.
Day 06excursion day take a pack lunch on your day pack including sufficient water for the day excursion. It might take at list 8 hours of hiking to Sundare Peak; the trail is steep climbing along the ridge over the Thame. It is recently popularized for the tourist excursion and might the single place from where above 8000m Mt. Cho oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu and several other mountains can be seen within short time trekking.
Day 07Trek to Monjo, after short visiting to Thame monastery and village trekking heads down to the same way back from where you were hiked up. Down there is a big river call Bhote koshi beneath Thame village, which flows aside the Thamu, Namche and relative villages. Lunch stoppage will be in Namche bazaar and descending down to Monjo for overnight.
Day 08Trek to Lukla (2800m.) 5 hours walk Continue down to the Dudh koshi valley to Lukla and farewell dinner with all together
Day 09Fly back to Kathmandu. Morning flight to Kathmandu and free day in Kathmandu
