The kapan Monastery rises up on the terraced hill on the northern side of Baudanath stupa in Kathmandu. The monastery follows the Geluk pa sect of Tibetan Mahayana Buddhism. There are more than 300 lamas coming from all along, over the Nepal. Visitors from all over the world also come here to attend courses and enjoy the spiritual atmosphere. Especially the teaching of Shakyamuni Buddas helping and beings develop full potential of infinite wisdom and compassion is being taught here. The monastery provides meditation, community service, integrated Buddhist education and inspired by an attitude of universal responsibility.
