The trek starts from Kathmandu to jiri by bus and walking for seven days to Lukla airfield. It is enriching trekking of cultural diversities; we will be captivated by miscellaneous experiences of culture, landscape, people and life. This is a classic trail to Everest trekking; even the Legendary Tenjing Norgey and sir Edmund Hillary took the same way to scale first time the Everest. Both the camping trekking and tea houses trekking is possible from this route. You can get in by the bus and fly out by the plane from Lukla.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01:Arrival in Kathmandu, Pick-up and Transfer to Hotel.

Day 02:Trek preparation and evening trek briefings and farewell dinner

Day 03:From Kathmandu to (jiri)190 km by the bus and it takes almost 9/10 hours to reach Jiri.

Day 04:Jiri to Deurali:

Day 05:Deurali to Sete,

Day 06:Sete to Junbesi (2670m) 6 1/2 hours walk.

Day 07:Junbesi to Nunthala (2330m) 6 hours walk.

Day 08:Nunthala to Kharikhola (2040m) 6 hours walk.

Day 09:Paiya (2785M.):

Day 10:PHAKDING (2610M.)

Day 11:Trek to Namche Bazaar (344om).

Day 12:Rest day or excursion day:

Day 13:Trek to Dole (4200m):

Day 14:trek to Machhermo (4700M);

Day 15:Trek to Gokyo.

Day 16:Thangnak (4700M.)

Day 17:Dzongla (4830M.):

Day 18:Trek to Gorakshep (5160m.) 6 hours.

Day 19:Excursion to Kalapatthar (5545m)

Day 20:Trek to Dingbouche (4410m).

Day 21:Trek to Tyangboche easy walk down to imja khola to pangboche then a short climb to the famous monastery land Tyangboche.

Day 22:Trek to Monjo. 5 hours:

Day 23:Trek to Lukla (2800m.) 5 hours,

Day 24:Fly back to Kathmandu:

Detail Itinerary

Day 03From Kathmandu to (jiri)190 km by the bus and it takes almost 9/10 hours to reach Jiri. We can see Gaurishankar, Rolbaling, Ganjala peak, dorje Lakpa peak and others mountains as well different ethnic groups along the way.

Day 04Jiri to Deurali: after the Break-fast trekking starts climb slide up about 2 hours to the Malidanda. From here you follow downhill to Shivalaya one and half hour. Shivalaya is in Khimti river side. To get to Shivalaya you have to cross suspension Bridge. Shivalaya is a simple town with mixtured people. The first part is quite steep from Shivalay to Sangma danda and gradual up to Deurali

Day 05Deurali to Sete, It is quite long down to Likhukhola Kinja village, Likhukhola is Boarder River between Ramchhap and Solukhumbu district. You can make lunch break in this little beautiful village because there are not any good lodges over the village. It is very demanding climb after the lunch to Sete.

Day 06Sete to Junbesi (2670m) 6 1/2 hours walk. Walk into the rhododendron, oak, fir, pine and birch forest along the Dakhchu, Goyam and Kande. It is also ascending but not so strong like last day. Finally you arrive to the boulders of hill and turns to flat path towards Lamjura. In middle of the way you can fine some lodes where you can make tea break and continue walk for an hour to the pass of 3500m. Then it goes downhill along the heavy forest to Taktok for lunch and gradual flat, zigzag trail to Junbesi a Sherpa village.

Day 07Junbesi to Nunthala (2330m) 6 hours walk. It has gradual climb from the village to Taksindhu Danda then down to Nuntala Bazaar. Today is also only the way up and down aside the villages, Monastery and stupas.

Day 08Nunthala to Kharikhola (2040m) 6 hours walk. The trail goes down to Khaling village (who are known as culturally enrich ethnic group) to Dudh koshi River. Cross the suspension bridge and again you arrive to khaling village Juving for lunch and scale up the trail to Kharikhola for overnight.

Day 09Paiya (2785M.): A cross the kharikhola the trail climbs steeply about (600m.) to Gombadanda, kharte at (2575m.) crosses a Ramite and climbs abruptly to the pass Thamdanda at (2990m.) And a long zigzag corner through the alpine forest to the Paiya.

Day 10PHAKDING (2610M.) 2 ½ hours descend from Paiya to Surkhe near by the Dudh Koshi River is very exciting walk. The trail which climbs to the right is to Lukla and which continues ahead from lap of hill over the river goes to Phakding. We cross the Handikhola, Muse village Chaurikharka village, Kyangjoma to Phakding.

Day 11Trek to Namche Bazaar (344om). The trail crosses and re-crosses the Dudhkoshi through the villages of Benkyar, monjo, and Jorshalle then climbs steeply 600m to the Namche bazzar.

Day 12Rest day or excursion day: It is consider an ideal day for altitude acclimatization in this place, after the breakfast just get higher around the museum, the Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Tawache, Nuptse, Amadablam, Thamserku, Kusumkangaru, Kwongde peak and Thame peak are awaiting to your warm greet. It would be the best morning ever in your travel time then follow the steep climb over to the world’s highest airstrip airport Syangboche. Turn to right across the Everest view hotel to Khumjung village for day excursion, visit the monastery which is steel preserving a yeti’s head then get back down to Namche by aside the Khumjung school or if you want to go to Khunde village you can continue climbing and take a direct way to Namche From KhundeDay

Day 13Trek to Dole (4200m): It is easy flat trail to Sanasa through birch, pines, and fir trees with fine views of mountains. From Sanasa it climbs up to Mongla Danda for one and half hours then descends to Phortse Tanga. A well known and typical village phortse is placed in front, there is a heavy alpin forest of fir, rhododendron, birch, alpine bamboo, pines in between Phortse Tanga to Dole. The trail is mostly gradual up through this alpine forest.

Day 14trek to Machhermo (4700M); scale up the way slowly to the ridge from where you will see a giant big mountain wall standing in forehead is Cho oyu. The trail is not steady up however it is gently ascending through Luza. Today you will see a lot of yak pasturelands; in the former time people from Khumjung and khunde used to bring their animals into this valley thus still the land ownership is highly belonged to those people from same village. Finally we will arrive by clearing one hill lap to other into a Fish shaped valley is Machhermo village.

Day 15Trek to Gokyo. You will arrive by the lunch time to Gokyo, after Machhermo you will come to first Fanga a little settlement where big avalanches have killed some people in 1996. The trail crosses the rocky narrow hill near the glacier and turns around the valley towards the lake. There are many beautiful lakes in Gokyo valley, behind the lakes there is a big glacier is laying, which is spreading from the bottom of Mt.Cho –oyu. After walking slowly around the rocky corner you will reach to third lake where you are staying for overnight at 4750m.

Day 16Thangnak (4700M.) Explore Gokyo Ri in the morning which may takes three hours to climb to the summit. From the summit you will see rewarding views of Mt. Cho–oyu, pumori, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Bhorunche, and many others mountains in a round. Get down to Gokyo and proceed to explore the trail along the large glacier trail to Thangnak on lap of sloppy hill.

Day 17Dzongla (4830M.): Through the boulder and a steep grassy field trails leads often climbing up. The big mountains are towering all around the valley. Your trail cross the camping site on the bottom of rocky Cho la Mountain and continue through the moraine. The rocks are moving while you step over so be careful from falling and twisting legs. It start to heavy climbing on 1st part of Col. It may takes about an hour to the summit of Chola 5420m.You have to walk for a while in the boulders of snow then to the rocky descends to the flat field, then you will arrive in small settlement call Dzongla.

Day 18Trek to Gorakshep (5160m.) 6 hours. Contour the steep, grassy hillside above the Tsola Lake and round a corner into the Lobuche then Gorakshep along glacier walk.

Day 19Excursion to Kalapatthar (5545m) for magnificent views of the mountains in the morning and Everest base camp excursion in the noon and get back to Lodge for overnight.

Day 20Trek to Dingbouche (4410m). 5 hours walk. Return back down the moraines and slowly losing altitude, reach Thukla and slightly down to a prosperous village Dingboche.

Day 21Trek to Tyangboche easy walk down to imja khola to pangboche then a short climb to the famous monastery land Tyangboche. In the evening you can go the monastery to attend the ceremonies; every 2 hours in the evening and 2 hours in the morning the monk make ceremonies inside the monastery.

Day 22Trek to Monjo. 5 hours: walk Down to Dudh koshi, phunggitang and climb up to the shanasha from here the trail is easy and quite flat to Namche bazzar. Lunch in Namche bazzar and descends Dovan, jorsalle to Monjo for overnight.

Day 23Trek to Lukla (2800m.) 5 hours, walk Continue down to the Dudh koshi valley to Lukla and farewell dinner with all together

Day 24Fly back to Kathmandu: morning flight to Kathmandu and free day in Kathmandu
