Expedition and climbing trekking peak, is different however it has similar meaning. In Nepal there are more than 1300 peaks over 6000 meter, lower than 6500 meter are called trekking peak and higher than that are only called expedition mountains or peaks.  The royalties are also different as it has variation of heights and region. Thus, any high adventure lover can have an opportunity to concentrate their will to climb high snow caped or the highest mountains in the world. So Nepal is best known for mountaineering and expedition, nowhere else in the world you can find such opportunities.

Nepal Government has certain rule and regulation for expedition, it has not allowing all the mountains to climb. Until the latest decision only 236 peaks for expedition and 18 minor peaks for trekking peaks are designated. Nepal is reserving 8 mountains above eight thousands meters out of the 14th the tallest mountain in the world including Mt. Everest.  Every year hundreds of adventure climbers are making expedition in different mountains over the country. We can say proudly that the best and the final goal to the destination of all adventure makers is Nepal Himalayas.
